Custom Showerhouses - Safe Harbor Grider Hill

Albany, Kentucky

Safe Harbor Grider Hill Marina selected Seadwell to design and deliver two custom 15' x 30' floating showerhouses on Lake Cumberland in Albany, Kentucky. Constructed off-site and delivered turnkey, the new showerhouses replaced aging restrooms with contemporary floating facilities that better serve both marina guests and staff, improving functionality, accessibility, and long-term performance.

Delivered directly to the site and ready for immediate use, both showerhouses were tailored to the owner's selected finishes and operational preferences. Each climate-controlled unit includes four private restroom and shower suites equipped with waterproof commercial flooring, tongue-and-groove natural wood ceilings, and commercial-grade fixtures and finishes.

The showerhouses include blackwater and graywater collection systems and are equipped with an onboard sewage lift station with self-discharge capability. The electrical systems utilize standard marina shore power connections, allowing for straightforward installation and reliable long-term operation. Each unit incorporates dedicated utility space for maintenance supplies, integrated high-level pump alarms, automatic interior and exterior lighting controls, and plumbing systems designed for straightforward winterization.

Upon delivery, the structures were floated directly from their transport trailers into the marina, minimizing installation time and disruption to marina operations.
