During his tenure at Moffatt & Nichol, Mike served as Lead Structural Engineer for the design of the Arrivals Pier at the world-class Four Seasons Resort in Nevis. The pier serves as the iconic arrival and departure point for guests visiting the waterfront resort and was reconstructed following significant damage caused by Hurricane Omar.

Project responsibilities included:
• Evaluation of the existing dock structure to identify components suitable for salvage and reuse
• Development of project design criteria including wave forces, wind loads, and vessel mooring and berthing requirements
• Structural design of the composite pier system (steel pilings, concrete pile plugs, etc)

Construction-phase services included:
o Site visits and construction observation
o Shop drawing and submittal review
o RFI coordination
o Pile load testing oversight
o Evaluation of construction alternatives
